Preeti Gupta was born in 1970 in Rishikesh. She completed her graduation in Architecture from the Govt. college of Architecture in 1992. For many year she practiced Architecture and gave up a successful carrier as a Architect in 2017 to pursue her love for paintings, a passion that remained a mere hobby for many years. Her inclination towards an artistic practice seemed almost natural being into the environment of Art in the family.
This self-taught artist displays her vast creative vocabulary in her heavily textured but plainly colored works. Deeply influenced by Pahari paintings, she creates Realistic paintings within carefully demarcated area of color, which violently cut into one another-bringing a distinctive character to the pieces.
Preeti has also participated in many and group shows in India obtuse and sometimes.
